Black Hat Sect in Feng Shui

I can not find anything on the internet that defines this practice as it should be.  So I offer you this:

Healing Spaces embraces and practices this Feng Shui more than all others forms or sects.  This specific practice is not organized in websites or through certification programs.  It is a learned and intuitive practice that grew out of the 5,000 year old Chinese practice of Feng Shui that originally was a very complex decision making process based on direction and geography and defined through an extremely intricate compass, numerology and the I Ching.  The Black Hat Sect practitioners, Buddhists, spun off from this original foundation and founded the use of the bagua or bak-ua, which is a nine section birds eye overlay of people's issues which, when paid attention to, enhance a life in these qualities: wealth & prosperity, reputation within community, love and reltionships, family and ancestors, children and new projects, spirituality, career and helpful people and travel.  It is also about flow which is thought of as wind and water and applied by positioning furniture and belongings so not to trip one up or get in the way.  That is known as "chi".  There are many insights that have been passed down over the thousands of years that can be applied to spaces so that they work better.  This would be termed as "remedies".  There are eastern practitioners that use items like crystals and hang them in troublesome areas of the bagua to move the chi and bring about change/improvements.  I don't use these sorts of things as I have transferred eastern practice to western thought.  So I choose to place furniture, items and use color, the elements (metal, water, wood, earth and fire) and clearing spaces to bring about a sense of openness that transfers to a person to be open to a life change.  Use of a good color then brings a more colorful life.  And elements that become balanced within a home, balances a person's life.  Making a supportive home or business makes a person feel supported to bring about change, which always happens for the better when tended to thoughtfully and intuitively.

You may get more information about Feng Shui by reading books I listed on our "Library" page.  Websites vary widely with information, schools of teaching and experiences, so I can not personally say that any one particular site is one to turn to, to get the answers that you might be seeking.  Books are much better for this.

Style Network is a diverse cable channel, listed as "Style", that focuses on overall personal style in fashion and interior design predominantly.

Without a doubt "Clean House" is one of my favorite shows.  Watch how a team transforms cluttered homes into places of peace and tranquility with a sense of meaning yet with humor as well.

I also am impressed with "Clean House Comes Clean" as the show shows everything that went well and not so well on projects that they created.  It is refreshing to watch how things go wrong and adjustments are made and reactions happen.

"Peter Perfect" is another favorite show of Healing Spaces.  This show has such an unique and interesting concept with an equally unique and interesting host and designer.  He is a hairdresser, aware of fashion and gifted in interior design, is exclusively focused on small businesses and company image and branding.  He is a motivator and makes big transformational differences.

The Oprah Show, on the ABC network, has a great and special series for those wanting to conquer the clutter in their homes:

With Peter Walsh's passion to bring order and cleanliness, simplification and living honestly and purposefully, Oprah teamed up with Peter to take cleaning up homes on a tour.  You can sign up to agree/make a contract with yourself, and sign up for a six month program with e-mail supportive messages.

You can contact Healing Spaces if you want that type of assistance yourself and can't get Peter to your place.

Public Television

"This Old House" or "Ask This Old House" is a great show that features a home's transformation.  It shows the process with a team of experienced and professional builders, contractors and landscapers for a total realistic make-over.  It takes many weeks to see it go from start to finish.
